Ground Mount Solar Module Racking

Step 2

The Foot is attached at the end of the Standard “Leg” Rail that has not been pre-drilled. Attach one foot to each front leg (shortest Standard Rail lengths) with two Stainless Bolts SPMB3825 per Foot. The Feet are bolted to the Mid Slots of the Standard Rail so the slots of the legs and the feet are positioned to the outside of the array frame.

ALZONE Ground Mount Kits include cross bracing struts for additional array strength. The angle of the array may be altered with different leg lengths, and kits are available in either a 25°- 35° or 35°- 45° kit. Please visit the website at www.alzone.com.au for further information. To order, please fill in the order form on the opposite page.

Step 4

Step 5

Attach the Cross Bracing (shortest bracing lengths) to the front legs with the Stainless Bolt SPMB3525. Slide the SPMB3525 into the front edge slot of one of the front legs. The bracing is held to the leg with the flat washer, spring washer and nut added in that order.

Bolt the other end of the Cross Bracing to front Edge Slot of the other leg using the same procedure used in Step 2. Bolt the second Cross Bracing in the opposite direction on the rear Edge Slot of the front legs.

Repeat Step 1, 2 and 3 for rear legs. Stand leg sub-assemblies upright and place into position ensuring all legs are square.

Position the Standard Rails so that the Mid Slots of the Standard Rail face inward. Slide one Stainless Bolt SPMB3845 into each Mid Slot of the Standard Rail and pass the bolt through the specially drilled hole in the leg. Fasten each leg to the Standard Rail with the flat washer, spring washers and nut, in that order for each leg attachment.

Step 6

The lowest solar module is positioned first. Slide one T Bolt with End Clamp into the Edge Slot of each of the Standard Rails that will hold the modules. Place the module in position and gently tighten the end clamps.

Step 7

Step 8

Insert one T Bolt and Middle Clamp into the Edge Slot at the top of each Standard Rail and slide the Middle Clamps until the edge of the first module is reached. Slide the second solar module into position and gently tighten the mid clamp.

Repeat Step 7 until all modules are fastened to the array.

Step 9

When the final module is in position slide the T Bolt and End Clamp into the Edge Slot of the Standard Rail holding the array and tighten.

Step 10

Check that all bolts and clamps are tight and all legs are square. The Ground Mount Array may now be fastened to the supporting structure.
